Symptoms


The Microsoft Exchange Information Store service (store.exe) stops responding during a Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS) backup on a Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 server. Additionally, you find the following error message is logged in Application logs:

To resolve this problem, install the following update rollup:
2279665 Description of Update Rollup 1 for Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 3
