When you change the editing language in the Microsoft Office 2010 and Microsoft Office 2013 Language Preferences dialog box, the settings on the AutoFormat As You Type tab in the AutoCorrect dialog box in Microsoft Word 2010 are changed.
This issue occurs because changing the editing language causes the Word 2010 and Word 2013 preferences to be reset.
There is no workaround for this issue.
This behavior is by design.
