Under certain circumstances, your Windows NT client stops responding(hangs) when performing disk operations from the command prompt on aremote downlevel LAN Manager server (using Server Message Block (SMB)protocol 1.0).
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT Workstation andWindows NT Server version 3.5. This problem was corrected in the latestU.S. Service Pack for Windows NT version 3.5.
