If you create a Pivot Table in Microsoft Excel using Visual FoxPro's PivotTable Wizard and then change the data in the table on which the Pivot tableis based, the Excel Pivot Table does not update to reflect the change inthe underlying data.
To update the data, right click any cell in the Pivot Table in Excel. Thenchoose Refresh Data from the context sensitive menu.
This behavior is by design because of performance issues associated withMicrosoft Query having to retrieve data from a FoxPro table in Excel.
The FoxPro ODBC driver passes data to Microsoft Query. Excel then retrievesthe data from Microsoft Query. For the data to be automatically updated inthe Pivot Table, FoxPro would have to notify Microsoft Query every timedata changes in a table on which a Pivot Table is based.
