This article explains how to reset or disable the list of fonts at the topof the Font drop-down (sometimes called most recently used font list inWord).
The most recently used font list shows only the six most recently usedfonts. In this version, you can disable the list completely.
In Word version 6.x on all platforms, the most recently used font listtracks the nine most recently used fonts.
The list can be turned off in Word 6.0 for the Macintosh and Word 6.0 forWindows NT, but it can be reset only in Word 6.0 for Windows. In Word 6.0for Windows, removing the Winword.opt eliminates the current list of mostrecently used fonts. The next time you use Word, the list will be rebuiltand will again show the fonts you have used.
