XL97: "Missing or Illegal Field Name" Using Advanced Filter

When you use the Advanced Filter command in Microsoft Excel 97, you mayreceive the following error message:
The extract range has a missing or illegal field name.
This problem may occur if one or more column headings in the list of dataare missing even though the data record Field Information for the missingcolumn is present.

NOTE: This problem does not occur in earlier versions of Microsoft Excel.
To work around this problem, use the Advanced Filter command a second timeimmediately after receiving the error message; when you do this, you do notreceive the error message again. In addition, if you use column headingsfor all of the fields, you do not receive the error message.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft productslisted at the beginning of this article.This problem no longer occurs in Microsoft Excel 2000.
