Stop 0xA in Netbt.sys with Greater Than 64 Adapters

SYMPTOMS
Your Windows NT server is configured such that the WINS client (TCP/IP) isbound to more than 64 adapter interfaces. When it runs under Windows NT 4.0with no service packs applied, the computer will stop responding (hang).

If it runs under Windows NT 4.0 with Service Pack 3 applied, your computermay STOP with the following blue screen message:

STOP 0x0000000A IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
(fee3b797,00000002,fee3b797,ff1e82e8)

NOTE: The parameters in the STOP code will be different depending on yourconfiguration, but the first and third parameters will be the same as eachother.
CAUSE
A worker routine in Netbt.sys returned at a raised IRQL.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Windows NT 4.0 or Windows NT Server 4.0, Terminal Server Edition. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in theMicrosoft Knowledge Base:

STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Windows NT 4.0 and Windows NT Server 4.0, Terminal Server Edition. This problem was first corrected in Windows NT 4.0 Service Pack 4.0 and Windows NT Server 4.0, Terminal Server Edition Service Pack 4.
