After you type your password to log on to America Online using the previewversion of the America Online 4.0 software on the Windows 98 CD-ROM, youmay receive the following error message:
WAOL caused an invalid page fault in module MSVCRT.DLL at 015f:7800129a
This behavior can occur when the Msvcrt.dll file is the incorrect version.

To resolve this issue, obtain the latest version of the America Online 4.0software from the following America Online Web site:

The error message can occur if you install a program that replaces theMsvcrt.dll file with a later version of the file.

Microsoft only supports locating and starting the America Online Setupprogram on the Windows 98 CD-ROM. We do not support the installationprocess, the functionality of the software, or connectivity to AmericaOnline using the America Online software included on the Windows 98 CD-ROMor available from America Online.
