Err Msg: Invalid Media or Track 0 Bad - Disk Unusable

When you click Start, point to Programs, click MS-DOS Prompt, and then tryto use the Format command to format a logical drive on an extendedpartition, you may receive the following error message:
Invalid media or Track 0 bad - disk unusable.
To work around this problem, use either of the following methods:
- Double click My Computer, right-click the drive you want to format, and then click Format.
- Click the Full option, and then click Start.
Method 2Restart your computer in MS-DOS mode, and then format the appropriatedrive. To restart your computer in MS-DOS mode, click Start, click ShutDown, click Restart In MS-DOS Mode, and then click OK.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Windows 95 andMicrosoft Windows 98.
