SUMMARY
An Active Server Page (ASP) is an ASCII text file that contains text,Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) elements, and/or ASP script commands. Youcan use Active Server Pages to create dynamic, interactive Web content. ASPfiles have the .asp extension.

To use ASP files on a Web server, you must install a script enginethat supports the scripting languages used on the Web. Microsoft InternetInformation Server (IIS) for Windows NT Server, Microsoft Peer Web Servicesfor Windows NT Workstation, and Microsoft Personal Web Server for Windows95 support ASP.

FrontPage 2000 continues to support ASP in your FrontPage Webs. ASP filesmust be located in an executable folder on your Web server.
