When you use the CharacterWidth property in its function form to return the width of a character or characters in a Visual Basic for Applications procedure, the value returned is 9999999.
You have installed the Japanese or Korean Input Method Editor (IME), and your macro has set the character width using the wdWidthFullWidth constant of the CharacterWidth property.
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
