XL2000: How Transition Formula Entry Affects Behavior in Excel
Whenever a Lotus 1-2-3 file is opened in Excel, this check box is automatically selected.
When Transition formula entry is selected, Excel converts formulas entered with Lotus 1-2-3 release 2.2 syntax to Excel syntax, and makes names defined in Excel behave as defined names behave in Lotus 1-2-3.
In addition, if the Transition formula evaluation check box is selected, when Excel evaluates formulas, text strings areconverted to 0, Boolean expressions are converted to 0 or 1, anddatabase criteria are converted according to the rules used in Lotus1-2-3.
