The return values of USERID and CONID in Communicator Web Access 2007 R2 are different from the return values of USERID and CONTACTID in Office Communicator 2007 R2

SYMPTOMS
You customize Microsoft Office Communicator 2007 R2 and Microsoft Office Communicator Web Access (CWA) 2007 R2 by using custom tabs. In this situation, you find that the return values of USERID and CONID in Communicator Web Access 2007 R2 are different with the return values of USERID and CONTACTID in Office Communicator 2007 R2.

For example, you have a user who has a user account of username@contoso.com:

In Office Communicator 2007 R2, the return value of the USERID parameter is sip:username@contoso.com.
In Office CWA 2007 R2, the return value of the USERID parameter isusername@contoso.com.
In Office Communicator 2007 R2, the return value of the CONTACTID parameter is sip:username@contoso.com.
In Office CWA 2007 R2, the return value of the CONID parameter isusername.
CAUSE
The Office Communications Server 2007 R2, Communicator Web Access server removes the protocol part and the domain part of the contacts’ SIP address.
RESOLUTION
To fix this problem, install the following cumulative update:

STATUS
