STOP 0x0000000A in Netbt.sys When Parsing LMHOSTS File

This article has been archived. It is offered "as is" and will no longer be updated.
When Netbt.sys parses through an LMHOSTS file that contains #DOM entries, a STOP 0x0000000A error message may be displayed.
NETBT allocates a buffer for domain entries, yet does not zero out the allocated area, causing code manipulation of invalid data.
