When you change the screen resolution on your Windows 2000-based computer while playing a DVD movie, you may experience one or more of the following symptoms:
- Your video screen may turn black.
- The movie progress counter may clear and restart, but you may still be unable to see the movie.
- Your computer may stop responding (hang).
This issue can occur because graphics-intensive programs can become unstable if you change screen resolution while they are running.
To resolve this issue, do not change the screen resolution on your Windows 2000-based computer while playing a DVD movie.
To work around this issue, quit the DVD viewer program, and then start it again.
