When you try to activate an Office for Mac 2011 trial version, you receive one of the error messages that is described in the "Resolution" section.

Issue 1: You receive one of the following error messages when you try to activate the trial version:
Make sure that you have an open Internet connection that is correctly configured. To do this, follow these steps:
Online activation did not complete successfully because the activation server is temporarily unavailable. You can try to access the server again.
Online activation did not complete successfully because you are not connected to the Internet.
Start a web browser, such as Safari, and visit a website such as www.msn.com
(http://www.bing.com). If the site opens, again try activating the product. If the website does not open or if you continue to experience problems with online activation online, visit the following Microsoft web site for more information:
http://www.mactopia.comNote To resolve the problem with your Internet connection, contact your Internet service provider.
Issue 2: You receive the following error message when you try to activate the trial version:
Online activation did not complete successfully because this copy of Office for Mac trial has already been activated.
