Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Windows NT 4.0 and Windows NT Server 4.0, Terminal Server Edition.
This problem was first corrected in Windows NT Server 4.0 Service Pack 6 and Windows NT Server 4.0, Terminal Server Edition Service Pack 6.
This problem has only been seen in very large environments (200,000 records or greater). The error message can be triggered by scheduled or manual replication. Rebuilding replication partners and performing a jetpack compaction process does temporarily resolve the issue, but the errors return.
