"Could not find destination computer" error when you connect an assigned VDI desktop that is deployed through Remote Desktop Connection Broker in Windows Server 2008 R2

Consider the following scenario:
  • In a network environment, you deploy a personal virtual desktop through Remote Desktop Connection Broker on a computer that is running Windows Server 2008 R2.
  • You try to connect to the assigned virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) desktop.
In this scenario, you receive the following error message:
Could not find destination computer
Note This issue occurs if the Remote Desktop Connection Broker cannot reach a writable domain controller.
This issue occurs because the VDI scenario does not work together with read-only domain controllers. The involved components incorrectly request a writable domain controller.
