In Microsoft Project, you may receive any of the following error messages when attempting to use projects that are saved in Web folders.
Error Message 1
Run-time error '-2147467259 (80004005)':
Cannot open project 'http://server/share/project1.mpp'
Error Message 2
You cannot create links from a project file that exists on a Web folder to another file.
Error Message 3
Microsoft Project does not support resource pooling on a Web server.
Error Message 4
You cannot use an Internet address here. Enter a path that points to a location on your computer or on the network.

Error Message 5
There was a problem creating the link.
You cannot create links to projects that are stored on a Web server, and you cannot insert projects from a Web server.
These error messages occur when you attempt to use features that are unsupported with projects that are saved in Web folders.
Cause for Error Message 1:This error message occurs when you run a Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications macro that uses ActiveX Data Objects (ADO) to open a project located in a Web folder.
Cause for Error Message 2:This error message occurs when you copy data from a project that is located in a Web folder, and then paste link it in a project.
Cause for Error Message 3:This error message occurs when, in a project that is located in a Web folder, you share resources from another project.
Cause for Error Message 4:This error message occurs when you attempt to insert a project that is located in a Web folder.
Cause for Error Message 5:This behavior occurs when you create external predecessor or successor relationships with a project that is located in a Web folder.
To work around this behavior, use either of the following methods:
