Office File Validation verifies that a particular binary file complies with the application’s expectations. Office File Validation can help prevent unknown binary file format attacks against Microsoft Office 97-2003 file formats.

Prerequisites to apply this update
To apply this update, you must have 2007 Microsoft Office suite Service Pack 2 installed on the computer.

You may have to restart the computer after you install this update.
To remove this update, use the Add or Remove Programs item or use the Programs and Features item in Control Panel.
Note When you remove this update, you may be prompted to insert the disc that contains Publisher 2007. Additionally, you may not have the option to uninstall this update from the Add or Remove Programs item or form the Programs and Features item in Control Panel. There are several possible causes for this issue.
