FIX: Invalid URL when you use the EncryptionHelper class to encrypt a URL that is displayed on the Discount Ad Web Part on a Commerce Server 2009 website

Consider the following scenario:
  • You create a Microsoft Commerce Server 2009 website.
  • The website uses the Discount Ad Web Part to display an advertisement or discount.
  • You use the EncryptionHelper class to encrypt a query string parameter for a URL that is displayed on the Discount Ad Web Part.
In this scenario, the Web Part displays an invalid encrypted URL.

Note To work around this issue, you may have to restart Internet Information Services (IIS).
This issue occurs because of a race condition in the EncryptionHelper class.
