Description of the 2007 Office system hotfix package (mso-x-none.msp): April 26, 2011

This article describes the 2007 Microsoft Office system issues that are fixed in the hotfix package that is dated April 26, 2011.

Issues that this hotfix package fixes

  • Consider the following scenario. You apply a custom Add-in in Microsoft Office Word 2007. Then, you open two Word applications. The second Word application opens while the custom Add-in is still loading in the first Word application. In this scenario, content from startup templates may be permanently removed from the Quick Access Toolbar (QAT).
  • Consider the following scenario:
    • You use Internet Explorer 6 to open an Office Web App page.
    • You right-click any links in the Office Web App page.
    • You select the Open in new window option.

In this scenario, your computer may use excessive CPU resources. This issue still occurs even if you close all the Internet Explorer windows.
  • Consider the following scenario:
    • You create a new Office Word 2007 document.
    • You click the Insert command, and then click the Clip Art command.
    • You click the Organize clips… command in the lower-right corner.
    • You click the Add Clips to Organizer submenu in the Microsoft Clip Organizer window.
    • The scanner is not available.
    • You click the From Scanner or Camera… command.

Note At this point, you receive the following error message:
Unable to connect to scanner or camera. Check the connection and reinstall driver if necessary.
    • You connect the scanner, and then you repeat the steps from step 2 again after the scanner is available.

In this scenario, the Insert command is unavailable to the users.
  • Consider the following scenario. You open a Digital Rights Management (DRM)-configured email message in Office Outlook 2007. The email message contains a large attachment. In this scenario, Outlook 2007 takes a long time to open the email message.
