When you log off of your Windows 2000-based computer, you may receive an error message that indicates that your user profile cannot be unloaded. You may also receive the following event in the event log:
Type : Error Event Id : 1000 Description : Windows cannot unload your registry file. If you have aroaming profile, your settings are not replicated. Contact your administrator. Detail: Access is denied
This problem can occur if a handle to a registry key is not closed correctly. This can occur when you use Microsoft Internet Explorer to view a Web site that requires the use of client-side certificates.
