Microsoft distributes Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 fixes as one downloadable file. Because the fixes are cumulative, each new release contains all the hotfixes and all the security fixes that were included with the previous SQL Server 2008 R2 fix release.

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:

  • You create a report that contains a dynamic image in Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 Reporting Services (SSRS 2008 R2).

  • A page header or footer of the report contains the dynamic image.

  • The value expression of the dynamic image uses the Global!PageNumber variable.

  • You run the report in a renderer.

In this scenario, all pages incorrectly display the same image that is displayed on the first page in the renderer.

Note This issue does not occur if the image is an embedded or external image.

Cause

This issue occurs because the processing engine uses the UniqueName attribute that does not contain the page number to cache database images.

When you run a report, the images that are generated on each page have the same UniqueName attribute. Therefore, all pages display the same image.
