Excel Services Publish Options Feature Only Offered with Certain Versions of Excel 2010

This article discusses an improved Excel Services feature that is only available with certain versions of Microsoft Office Excel 2010.
Functionality to publish a file to Excel Services has been improved in Excel 2010.

You can now access the Publish Options dialog by clicking the File tab to open Backstage view, then Save & Send, then Save to SharePoint, then click Publish Options. The Publish Options dialog allows you to select which sheets are shown by Excel in the browser and select parameters to specify cells that are editable when using Excel in the browser. In Excel 2007 this feature was known as Excel Services Options and located in the Save As dialog box.

This feature requires SharePoint Server 2010.

This feature is only available with these versions of Excel 2010:
  • Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2010
  • Microsoft Office Professional Academic 2010
  • Microsoft Excel Stand-Alone 2010
