An Office 365 user tries to set an Out of Office reply message in Entourage 2008 for Mac. However, the user receives the following message:
Set your Out of Office status after the connection to your Exchange account is restored.
This issue occurs if the user is running a version of Entourage 2008 that is earlier than version 13.1.2.
In versions of Entourage 2008 that are earlier than version 13.1.2, there's an issue in the way that Entourage 2008 calls Exchange Web Services (EWS) to set an Out of Office message. In Entourage 2008 version 13.1.2 and later versions, this issue is resolved.
To resolve this issue, on the Help menu in Entourage 2008, run Microsoft AutoUpdate to upgrade to the latest version of Entourage 2008.
