Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:

  • You have the Microsoft Forefront Threat Management Gateway (TMG) 2010 management tools installed.

  • You install Windows Internet Explorer 9.


In this scenario, when you try to run the management tools such as the TMG Management console, the tool does not function as expected. Additionally, you may receive error messages that resemble the following.

Error 1

Member not found


Error 2

Refresh failed


Resolution

To resolve this problem, install the service pack that is described in the following Microsoft Knowledge Base article:

2555840 Description of Service Pack 2 for Microsoft Forefront Threat Management Gateway 2010
