A proxy server acts as a security barrier between your internalnetwork and the Internet, keeping others on the Internet from accessinginformation on your internal network. This article describes how to change the proxy settings in Windows Media Player.
To change the proxy settings in Windows Media Player, follow these steps:
Start Windows Media Player.
On the Tools menu, click Options.
Click the Network tab.
In the Proxy Settings section, double-click the protocol that you want to configure.
The default proxy setting is Use browser proxy settings. To change this setting, click the option you want to use.
