"Type Mismatch" script error occurs while working inside Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011

While working in the Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 application, users may receive the following script error message:

Please Note: The URL element may contain a different URL address than what is identified in the above error. 
This issue can occur if native XMLHTTP support is not enabled in Internet Explorer.
Enable XMLHTTP support in Internet Options.

1. Open Internet Explorer
2. Click Tools, and then click Internet Options
3. Click on the Advanced tab
4. Locate the "Enable native XMLHTTP support" option and ensure that it is checked
5. Click Ok
6. Close Internet Explorer
