The application-sharing feature does not work in a meeting which contains an anonymous user in Lync 2010

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:

A Microsoft Lync 2010 user who has the federation feature disabled schedules and then joins a meeting.
An anonymous user joins the meeting.
The Lync 2010 user tries to share applications.

In this scenario, the Lync 2010 user cannot share the applications.

Note The Lync 2010 user can share PowerPoint and whiteboards.

To resolve this issue, install the following cumulative update:
