Browsing Outlook Web Access may fail with a error 440 Login time out
The Exchange Powershell may also fail to open and return the following error.
VERBOSE: Connecting to servername.domainname.local
[servername.domainname.local] Connecting to remote server failed with the following error message : The WinRM client cannot process the request. The WinRM client tried to use Kerberos authentication mechanism, but the destination computer (servername.domainname.local:80) returned an 'access denied' error. Change the configuration toallow Kerberos authentication mechanism to be used or specify one of the authentication mechanisms supported by the server. To use Kerberos, specify the local computer name as the remote destination. Also verify that the client computer and the destination computer are joined to a domain. To use Basic, specify the local computer name as the remote destination, specify Basic authentication and provide user name and password. This issue can happen when the Default Web Site in IIS has no Authorization Rules set up.
By default in Small Business Server 2011 Standard Edition, All Users are listed in the Authorization Rules.
Use the following steps to resolve the issue:
Go to Administrative Tools and click Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager
Expand Server Name
Select Default Web Site
Double click Authorization Rules
Click on Add Allow Rule
Select All users and click on OK.
