"80004005-501-4B9-560" synchronization error logs in the Outlook Sync Issues folder

Support for Office 2003 has ended

Microsoft ended support for Office 2003 on April 8, 2014. This change has affected your software updates and security options. Learn what this means for you and how to stay protected.

When you use Microsoft Outlook to connect to a Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 mailbox, many synchronization error logs are generated in the Sync Issues folder in Outlook. This behavior occurs after Outlook tries to synchronize forms with the public folder server. The detailed information in the log resembles the following:

11:56:54 Synchronizing Forms
11:56:54 Downloading from server 'public folder server'
11:56:54 Error synchronizing folder
11:56:54 [80004005-501-4B9-560]
11:56:54 The client operation failed.

Additionally, the Outlook 2010 status bar only displays the "This folder is up to date" notification. The status bar never changes to display "All folders are up to date."
This is a known issue in Microsoft Exchange Server 2010. There is a problem synchronizing the forms in the Organizational Forms Library. This problem prevents users from accessing the forms when the users are offline. There is no effect for users who do not use organizational forms.
To resolve this issue, install the following update rollup:
