When you attach an IEEE 1394 SBP-2 compliant storage device to the IEEE 1394 interface on your computer, the device may not work. Also, the properties for the device in Device Manager contain the following status information:
This device is either not present, not working properly, or does not have all the drivers installed (Code 10).
Try upgrading the device drivers for this device.
This issue can occur if the IEEE 1394 host controller is not OHCI compliant and is using manufacturer-provided drivers. The IEEE 1394 host controller drivers that are included with Windows Millennium Edition (Me) are not compatible with non-OHCI host controllers.
To resolve this issue, determine if your IEEE 1394 host controller is OHCI compliant by viewing the properties for the host controller in Device Manager or contact the hardware manufacturer. Note that you may need to contact the manufacturer to inquire about the availability of an updated driver.
