When you click the Set up Microsoft Office 365 Integration task to configure the Microsoft Office 365 Integration Module on Windows SBS 2011 Essentials, you may encounter the following error at the end of the wizard:
“There was a problem configuring Office 365 Integration Make sure that the computer is connected to the Internet, and then try again. If you continue to experience this problem, restart the server and then try again.”
This error may appear even though the server is connected and you are able to browse the Internet.
To resolve this issue, take one of the following actions.
Download and Install the most recent package from Microsoft Download Center
The most recent download package includes an update that resolves this issue. Download the package from the Microsoft Download Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=233010 and install it on your Windows SBS 2011 Essentials server. After installing the package, run the Set up Microsoft Office 365 Integration task again.
Run the Set up Microsoft Office 365 Integration task again
If you encountered the subject error on your first attempt to set up Microsoft Office 365 Integration, run the Set up Microsoft Office 365 Integration task again. The error will not occur on the second attempt.
Note Do not restart the server before you run the Set up Microsoft Office 365 Integration task again.
This KB article only applies to the version 6.1.8800.16392 of Office 365 Integration Module for Windows SBS 2011 Essentials. You can verify that by checking the properties of this file, C:\Program Files\Windows Server\Bin\WSSG.O365Provider.dll, on your Windows SBS 2011 Essentials. If you have a newer version, this KB does not apply.
