Restarting a failed "Refresh Performance Data" job in System Center 2012 Virtual Machine Manager may crash the SCVMM service

On System Center 2012 Virtual Machine Manager, if a host has a status of "Not Responding" and the failed "Refresh Performance Data" job for that host is restarted, the Virtual Machine Manager (SCVMM) service will crash.
This is a known issue in System Center 2012 Virtual Machine Manager.
To resolve this issue, the host communication issue needs to be addressed. Once the host status in the VMM Console is listed as OK, restart the "Refresh Performance Data" job.
