This article describes the issue that is fixed in the Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2007 hotfix package that is dated August 28, 2012.
Issue that this hotfix package fixes
When you use PowerPoint 2007 to print wide-screen slides that were created by using PowerPoint 2013 Preview, the slides are not printed correctly.
Note The hotfix package that is described in this article changes the behavior of the "Scale to fit" option in PowerPoint 2007. The "Scale to fit" option is enabled after you apply the hotfix package and then use PowerPoint 2007 to open slides that are wider than 10 inches, that have a ratio of 4:3, and that were created in PowerPoint 2013 Preview.
A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing the problem described in this article. This hotfix might receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next software update that contains this hotfix.

You must have the 2007 Microsoft Office suite Service Pack 2 or the 2007 Microsoft Office suite Service Pack 3 installed to apply this hotfix package.
