Exchange Server 2010 is not activated in the Exchange Management Console

Symptoms
Consider the following scenario:
  • You install Microsoft Exchange Server 2010.
  • You enter the product key by using the Exchange Management Console (EMC) or the Set-ExchangeServer cmdlet.
  • You restart the Microsoft Exchange Information Store Service.
In this scenario, Exchange Server 2010 may not be activated in the EMC.
Resolution
To resolve this issue, follow these steps:
  1. Start the Exchange Management Console.
  2. Click Microsoft Exchange On-Premises.
  3. Under Actions, click Collect Organizational Health Data.
  4. Click to select Immediately, and then click Next.
  5. Click Collect, and then click Finish.
  6. Exit and then restart the EMC.
