    A user cannot use a Group Chat client to connect to a Group Chat server in an Office Communications Server 2007 R2 environment that contains a resource forest and a trusted account forest

    Symptoms
    Consider the following scenario:
    • You have a Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 R2 environment that contains a resource forest and a trusted account forest.
    • You deploy a Group Chat server in the resource forest.
    • You create a user account in the resource forest. This user account is disabled in the resource forest.
    • You associate the user account with another user account in the trusted account forest.
    • You enable the user account in the resource forest for Office Communications Server 2007 R2.
    • You install the update that is mentioned in Microsoft Knowledge Base (KB) article 2647090 in the environment.
    • A user tries to use the account to sign in to a Group Chat client.
    In this scenario, the Group Chat client cannot connect to the Group Chat server.
    Resolution
    To resolve this issue, install the following cumulative update:
