The Save As dialog box may intermittently not be displayed when you try to download a file in Internet Explorer 9
Consider the following scenario:
- You use Windows Internet Explorer 9 to browse a webpage.
- You click a link on the webpage to download a file, and then a new blank window or tab opens.
- You click Save As in the download dialog box.
In this scenario, the Save As
dialog box may intermittently not be displayed.
This problem occurs because of a race condition between the operation that opens the Save As dialog box and the operation that closes the new blank window or tab.
To resolve this problem, install this update.
