Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:

  • You sign out of Microsoft Lync 2010 for iPhone or Microsoft Lync 2010 for iPad on an Apple iPhone or on an Apple iPad that has iOS 5.0 or a later version of iOS installed.

  • You turn off and then turn on the iPhone or iPad.

  • You tap Notifications on the Settings screen.

In this scenario, Lync 2010 for iPhone or Lync 2010 for iPad is not displayed on the Notifications screen. Additionally, the iPhone or iPad does not push notifications for Lync 2010 for iPhone or for Lync 2010 for iPad.

Resolution

To resolve this issue for Lync 2010 for iPhone, install the following cumulative update:

2721062 Description of the cumulative update package for Lync 2010 for iPhone: June 2012 To resolve this issue for Lync 2010 for iPad, install the following cumulative update:

2709412Description of the cumulative update package for Lync 2010 for iPad: June 2012

Workaround

To work around this issue, stay signed in to Lync 2010 for iPhone or Lync 2010 for iPad when you restart the iPhone or iPad.
