FIX: Error message when you try to connect to an IBM iSeries computer by using OLE DB Provider for DB2 v4.0 or by using the OLE DB Provider for DB2 that is provided in Host Integration Server 2010: "RDB not found"
When you try to connect to an IBM iSeries computer by using Microsoft OLE DB Provider for DB2 v4.0 provided in the SQL Server feature pack or by using the OLE DB Provider for DB2 provided in Microsoft Host Integration Server 2010, you may receive the following error message:
RDB not found
This problem occurs when the SRVNAME parameter and the RDBNAME parameter at the IBM iSeries computer are not set to the same name. Instead of using the "Initial Catalog" name from the connection string, the OLE DB Provider for DB2 uses the SRVNAME parameter that is returned by the IBM iSeries computer in order to connect to the DB2 relational database. Because the SRVNAME parameter and the RDBNAME parameter do not match, you receive the error message that is mentioned in the "Symptoms" section.
