Connectivity Problems Using VIA 1394 PCI Host Controllers

You may experience connectivity problems when you use VIA 1394 PCI host controllers while attempting to establish a connection between two computer. You may see error statuses in Device Manager and be unable to browse. The cable connection could be causing this behavior.
This behavior is caused by a problem in the Ohci1394 driver.
To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Windows 2000. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in theMicrosoft Knowledge Base:

The English version of this fix should have the following file attributes or later:
   Date        Time      Version        Size    File name   ---------------------------------------------------------   10/11/2000  05:01 AM  5.0.2195.2228  37,200  Ohci1394.sys				

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was first corrected in Windows 2000 Service Pack 2.
