Assume that you install update 2670352 or a later cumulative update that fixes the issues that are documented in update 2670352. In this situation, the following event is logged many times in the Application log on the Lync Server 2010 front-end server:
Log Name: Lync Server Source: LS Protocol Stack Date: Date Event ID: 14428 Task Category: 1001 Level: Error Keywords: Classic User: N/A Computer: FQDN of FE Description: TLS outgoing connection failures.
Over the past n minutes, Lync Server 2010 has experienced TLS outgoing connection failures n times. The error code of the last failure is 0x80090322. The error code means that the target principal name is incorrect. When you trying to connect the server FQDN of FE at address IP address of FE, the display name in the peer certification is Unavailable.
Note The values that correspond to the "past n minutes," "connection failures n times," "FODN of FE" and "IP address of FE" items in the error message description of the error message are based on the Lync Server 2010 environment. Additionally, when you use System Center Operations Manager to generate warnings for the events, a large volume of event warnings is generated. This behavior causes no significant problems on the Lync 2010 client.
This issue occurs because of a problem in the user services module. Therefore, several events are logged in the Application log on the Lync Server 2010 front-end server.
