Symptoms

Consider the following scenario in a Microsoft Host Integration Server 2010 environment:

  • When you view the properties for a Windows-Initiated Processing (WIP) object in the Transaction Integrator (TI) Manager MMC snap-in, the Hosting tab displays the following options:

    • Self-Hosted

    • WCF Hosted

  • When you create a WIP object by using the New Object Wizard in TI Manager, the following Hosting options are available on the Define Environment Characteristics for the .NET Object panel:

    • Self-Hosted

    • ASP.NET worker process


In this scenario, the Hosting options are not consistent when you view and create WIP objects.

Resolution

Cumulative update information
