Symptoms

Assume that you install the Remote Desktop Gateway (RD Gateway) role service on a computer that is running Windows Server 2008 R2 Service Pack 1 (SP1) in a workgroup environment. Then, a client computer tries to connect to the terminal server through RD Gateway by using an IP address. In this situation, the RD Gateway service crashes, and the client computer does not connect to the terminal server. Additionally, event ID 7031 is logged in the System log.
