An update that includes the 2013 daylight saving time (DST) changes for Israel is available for Windows CE 5.0. This update changes the time zone data to accommodate the DST changes in Israel.
The government of Israel announced changes to the DST calendar that will take effect in 2013. When these changes take effect the new calendar will include 193 days of DST. The new DST definition is as follows:
DST will begin on the Friday before the last Sunday in March.
DST will end on the first Sunday after October 1.
Note DST will end on the first Monday after October 1 if the end of DST falls on Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year.

A supported software update is now available from Microsoft as Windows Embedded CE 5.0 Platform Builder Monthly Update (December 2012). You can confirm this by scrolling to the "File information" section of this article. The package file name contains the product version, date, Knowledge Base article number, and processor type. The package file name format is:
Product version-yymmdd-kbnnnnnn-processor type

This update is supported only if all previously issued updates for this product have also been installed.
After you apply this update, you must perform a clean build of the whole platform. To do this, use one of the following methods:
On the Build OS menu, make sure that the following options are selected, and then click Sysgen:
Clean Before Building
Copy Files to Release Directory After Build
Make Run-Time Image After Build
On the Build OS menu, click Open Release Directory. At the command prompt, type the following command, and then press Enter:
blddemo clean -q
