When you try to join a meeting by using Microsoft Office Live Meeting 2007, the Live Meeting 2007 client stops, and you receive the following error message in a pop-up dialog box:
Server not compatible.
Live Meeting cannot connect to the version of server.
To connect using Communicator instead, click OK. To cancel out of joining the meeting, click Cancel.
This issue occurs because the Lync Server 2010 cumulative updates for October 2012 are installed.
To resolve this issue, install the following update:
(https://support.microsoft.com/kb/2791381 / )Description of the cumulative update for Lync Server 2010: March 2013
If an organization shares its Lync Server 2010 conferences by using the Live Meeting 2007 client, we strongly recommend that the organization not upgrade Lync Server 2010 to the October 2012 cumulative update. Microsoft is aware of this issue and is currently working toward a resolution.
There are two possible workarounds for this issue.
If the Lync Server 2010 June 2012 updates were applied before the Lync Server 2010 October 2012 updates, follow these steps, depending on your operating system.
For Windows Server 2008 and Windows Server 2008 R2
For Windows Server 2012
Workaround 2For an improved meeting experience, consider installing and using the Lync 2010, Lync Attendee, or Lync Web App client as a conferencing client. For more information about how to deploy the Lync 2010 clients, see the "More Information" section.
