Issues that this hotfix rollup resolves

Common language runtime (CLR) issues

Issue 1

Assume that you run a .NET Framework 2.0 SP2-based or a Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1 (SP1)-based Microsoft Office Automation application on a non-English language operating system. In this situation, the application crashes with an exception.

For example, you run an application that contains the following code:

Imports Microsoft.Office.InteropImports Microsoft.Office.CoreDim oApp As New Excel.Application()oApp.Visible = TrueoApp.UserControl = TrueDim oBooks As Object = oApp.WorkbooksoBooks.GetType().InvokeMember("Add", Reflection.BindingFlags.InvokeMethod, Nothing, oBooks)
Note The .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 includes the .NET Framework 2.0 SP2. Issue 2

Assume that you have a .NET Framework 2.0 SP2-based or a .NET Framework 3.5 SP1-based application is signed with a signature that uses a certificate. The serial number of the certificate is 00. In this situation, a System.Security.Cryptography.CryptographicException exception occurs when the application verifies the signature. Additionally, the application cannot start.
