When you export an Access 2000 report in Microsoft Excel 97-2000 format, text in any Memo field that contains more than 127 characters is truncated to 127 characters.
To correct this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Microsoft Office 2000. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

Instead of exporting the report in Excel format, export it as HTML. However, this provides only a partial solution. When you open the file in Excel, the text in the Memo field will be spread over multiple cells instead of being in one single cell.
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
