Summary

This article describes the issues that are fixed in the Microsoft SharePoint Server 2013 hotfix package that is dated June 11, 2013.

Introduction

Issues that this hotfix package fixes

  • When you open a document that is located in the local folder of a SharePoint Server 2013 document library, the document takes a roundtrip route to the SharePoint Server 2013 server. Therefore, it takes longer than expected to open the document.

  • Assume that you configure a workflow to start when a new item is created in an email message-enabled SharePoint Server 2013 document library. When you create a new item to start the workflow, the initiator of the workflow is a system account.

  • When you create an item in the calendar view of a custom list or a task list in a SharePoint Server 2013 or Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010 site, you can only create the default site content type.

  • Assume that you share an Office document in a SharePoint Server document library. When you open the document by using the link, the document is opened in the corresponding Office client, but not in Office Web App in the web browser.

  • Assume that you create a subsite whose URL contains non-ASCII characters on a SharePoint Server 2013 site. Then, you upload a new file or a file that contains non-ASCII characters to the subsite, and you use the URL of the file to create a link on the Quick Launch. When you try to use the Quick Launch to open the file, the file cannot be opened.

  • When you pass query parameters to query rules from the Search Web Part on a SharePoint Server 2013 site, the search results are not updated.

  • When you set "English (South Africa)" as the locale in a SharePoint Server 2010 mode site collection on a SharePoint Server 2013 server, the time stamp in the site collection is displayed incorrectly.

  • When you change the theme of a SharePoint Server 2013 site in a site collection that contains many sites, you experience one of the following issues:

    • It takes longer than expected to complete the operation.

    • You receive the following error message:

      Cannot complete this operation.

  • In a multilingual user interface (MUI) scenario, you cannot complete a workflow task on a SharePoint Server 2013 site collection.

  • After you upgrade from SharePoint Server 2010 to SharePoint Server 2013, certain list items cannot be rendered correctly. Additionally, you receive the following error message:

    An unexpected error has occurred.

  • When you make some changes to a wiki page on a SharePoint Server 2013 site, the changes are not marked in the page history view of the wiki page.

  • Assume that you enable the SharePoint Server Standard Site Collection features for a publishing site in a SharePoint Server 2013 site collection. Then, you add an RSS Viewer Web Part to a page that contains a Content Editor Web Part on the publishing site. In this situation, when you publish the page, the RSS Viewer Web Part is not loaded.
